Gucci opens at Brookfield Place in New York City

Gucci has recently opened its 8,000-square-foot store at Brookfield Place in New York City. The lower Manhattan store is the first US store from the company to feature Creative Director Alessandro Michele’s new concept.

The Gucci Brookfield Place store – Gucci

Gucci explores a travel theme in the store with trunks being used throughout the store. The trunks double as a nod to the company’s history, specifically how the late founder, Guccio Gucci opened a workshop for trunks and travel items in Florence.

In addition to the travel theme, the Agencie Group designed store references the company’s flagship store in Milan with Rivet-lined hard cases, marble and cement floors and Art Deco velvet furniture.

The new store is located on the main floor of Brookfield Place and joins other locations that have opened recently in the mall including Tory Burch, Bottega Veneta, Salvatore Ferragamo and Ermenegildo Zegna.
