google-local-places-featuredGoogler Jade Wang announced yesterday Google Places is rolling out new features to its bulk location management tool.

According to the announcement, the new features will include a “Status” column that lets users know if a Map location is live, unverified, has errors, data conflicts, is a duplicate, or if it is pending review.

The “Conflicts” interface is being updated as well:

The updated [conflicts] interface will show you details on how a location page might differ on Maps/Search results versus what’s in your dashboard. We’ll show you what is live on Google, and which field is different from what’s in your dashboard. From there, you’ll be able to take action.

Wang said Google is also editing time frames with the intent of improving the speed data goes live on Google Places, and included the following screen shot of the new dashboard interface:

Wang claimed the new features are rolling out gradually during the coming weeks, asking users to, “Please be patient if you don’t see these features right away.”

In the announcement, Wang pointed users to the Google Places website where future updates have been listed, included features like being able to make updates and posts to customers using a Google+ page for a location, access to insights tracking business performance on Google, and filter capabilities to view subsets of locations within an account.
